The public hearing will be held to gather input on proposed amendments to the City of Tomah Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan sets the policy for growth, development, and preservation of the community. The proposed amendments would affect the Future Land Use Map (Map 8a and 8b) of the plan document. On the Future Land Use Map, the proposed amendments involve the following:
- Change the Future Land Use designation for parcel numbers: 286-02648-5000, 042-00154-0000, 042-00172-0000, 042-00172-0001, 042-00171-2000, and 042-00175-0000 from Planned Neighborhood to Public and Institutional
- Change the Future Land Use designation for approximately 8.36 acres of parcel number: 286-00384-0000 from High-Density Residential to Public and Institutional. The remaining approximately 2 acres that make up parcel number 286-00384-0000 are proposed to remain designated at Medium-Density Residential.[BR1] [BR2]
The current designation for these parcels is Planned Neighborhood and High-Density Residential. The proposed amendment would change the designation of said parcels to Public and Institutional to support the Tomah Area School District’s (TASD) intent to construct a new school. [BR3]
The Comprehensive Plan and the proposed amendments are available online at: www.tomahwi.gov
